Our
premise is based on the master teachers' ability to inspire and direct
growth in the visual arts. Traditionally apprenticeship programs were
the only way to become proficient in the arts.
Successful artists respect complexity and invite students to engage with
it creatively; successful artist teachers create a safe space in which
young people can take the risks it is in their nature to want to take
terrifying, thrilling, addictive and life-changing, yet safe and constructive
at the same time.

Jean Lowe (2006) and husband Kim, provided a week long
session producing cardboard "Hummer in the Park".
Canadian Max Streicher (2006) enjoys the movement
of
pattern against captured air inside his artwork "GIANTS".

CMS inc. and their students were honored to receive permission from Philippe
Richard,
to work long distance on a linear construction above, patterned after
his concept shown
at Laumeier Sculpture Park.
Jim Calvin inspires the focus on PERFORMANCE ART for
ART INSIDE THE PARK 2007. His quest to become a
skilled violinist during the four day exhibit, shows his
"etudes" will stand as a reminder of what life would be
like without teachers.
